Rehabilitation Program

Our team of doctors and assistants follow the patient in all his movements in Terme della Valpolicella, from the medical visits with the Physiatrist, through the physiotherapy sessions, until the daily program of activities in the pools and gym. Treatment in the salty iodine-bromine thermal water at 35°C has the following benefits:

1. Immersion in the water and the antigravitational effect of Archimede’s Principle reduces the risk of the harmful strains on the back and the articulations in general.
2. Thanks to the high temperature the patient receives a myorelaxant and analgesic effect.
3. The richness of mineral salts makes the patient feel a higher resistance to his movements and makes the physical activity less traumatic. Balneotherapy has anti inflammatory and antiseptic effect as well, stimulates the immune system and reduce edema. At the end of the stay, the team will provide a medical report that resumes the starting point and the development of the patient’s conditions during the stay in Villa Quaranta.

Condition: postural weaknesses/defects, spinal column pains (lumbago– neck pain – back pain – osteoporosis ), scoliosis, post-surgery rehabilitation (joint replacements – knee, hip, shoulder), joint inflammations/pains either of mechanical nature or coming from rheumatic diseases, arthritis, periartritis and inflamed tendons, upper limbs pathologies (elbow, shoulder, hand, wrist) , lower limbs pathologies (hip, knee, ankle, foot) post-surgery and post-trauma muscular strengthening, fibromyalgia.
